The Legendary Oscar Peterson Trio Live At The Blue Note
Oscar Peterson Trio
Winner of Two Grammy Awards for Best Jazz Instrumental Performance, Soloist and Best Jazz Instrumental Performance, Group
The evenings at New York's Blue Note produced some of the most outstanding jazz you'll ever hear. In 1990, the classic Peterson triowith Ray Brown on bass, Herb Ellis on guitar and featuring Bobby Durham on drumsplayed a phenomenally successful engagement at the landmark club. This event was a special reunion, bringing the trio back together after twenty years apart. To no one's surprise, it was a tremendous success. Oscar Peterson remains the absolutely imposing musician he's been for forty years now, with a dizzying virtuosity and an awesome command of the keyboard. This unique group plays dazzling versions of classic jazz and popular standards and some of Oscar's intriguing originals.
