Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz Radio Broadcast With Dave Brubeck
Dave Brubeck
As part of a series of selected CD releases from Marian McPartland’s Peadbody Award-winning Piano Jazz radio show, as heard on National Public Radio, legendary Dave Brubeck, joins Marian for a fantastic combination of conversation and music-making.
Brubeck is not only a great musician, but also a composer with chops. He has a full grasp of jazz piano history and as Marian McPartland revealed in her Piano Jazz meeting with him, the world would be at a loss if such he had never written any music.
The show was recorded on air on March 23, 1984.
