Alter Bridge

Made up largely of members from the band Creed, Alter Bridge formed after Creed frontman Scott Stapp left. The remaining members—Mark Tremonti, Scott Phillips, and Brian Marshall—added The Mayfield Four guitarist Myles Kennedy to fill out the line-up. They also shifted their sound from grunge to thrash metal. Their debut release, One Day Remains, made it to the #5 spot on Billboard’s Top 200 chart. Even through the reformation of Creed (and subsequent tour), during which time Kennedy played in Slash’s band, Alter Bridge continues to record.
