Gravelly and gruff, Tone-Lōc’s unmistakable voice made him a household name in 1989 with the release of Lōc-ed After Dark. That debut release produced by Young MC featured two massive hits—"Wild Thing” and "Funky Cold Medina.” The former landed on Billboard’s Hot 100, Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles, Hot Dance Music, and Hot Rap Singles charts. His follow-up album, Cool Hand Lōc, coincided with his transition into acting. He has since appeared in films like Ace Ventura: Pet Detective and the hit show Roc.
