Carlene Carter has released Carter Girl, a vibrant new set of recorings via Rounder.  She recently discussed her rich musical history and shared some of her new songs with Rachel Martin on NPR's Weekend Edition.  You can check out the story at npr.org here.  Inviting and refreshingly honest, Carlene painted a picture of her unique background, pointing to the musical legacy inherited from the legendary Carter Family and Johnny Cash.  Carter Girl features guest appearances from country music icons Willie Nelson, Vince Gill, Elizabeth Cook, and Kris Kristofferson, along with production from Don Was.

This is quite a busy week for Ms. Carter.  She will be discussing and performing music from Carter Girl at the GRAMMY Museum and additional venues in Los Angeles, including Amoeba Records and Hotel Cafe.
