Della Mae to Perform at Smithsonian Ceremony

On Tuesday, June 17, Smithsonian’s National Museum of American History will host a special naturalization ceremony that will feature the U.S. citizenship of 15 individuals (from 15 countries), as well as the honoring of Ralph Lauren with the James Smithson Bicentennial Medal for lifetime contributions to American entrepreneurship, artistry and creativity.  Because of Lauren's involvement with and support for Hillary Clinton's "Save America's Treasures" initiative that sparked interest for preserving the Star-Spangled Banner starting back in the late '90s, former U.S. Secretary of State Clinton will also be on hand for the event.

We're delighted to support the country bluegrass powerhouse Della Mae as they perform at the ceremony, offering original songs as well as a performance of our national anthem.  It looks to be quite a historic, heart-warming night.  And if you're not familiar with Della Mae's raw talent, you can check out last year's This World Oft Can Be (Rounder).  More information can be found for the Smithsonian event here.
