The countdown to Tuesday, July 1st is in full effect as multi-platinum rockers Seether prepare for the release of their sixth studio album, Isolate and Medicate. Today, Revolver premiered the official video for “Words as Weapons,” the album’s first single. The video, which was shot at the historic Vasquez Rocks was inspired by the work of French expressionist Jean Cocteau and his 1949 film Orpheus

As consistent rock radio champs with 11 #1 singles and 17 Top 5 hits across various formats, it’s no surprise that “Words as Weapons” is already Top 10 at Active Rock radio and climbing fast. The song is rapidly making waves overseas as well while the band is touring Europe and playing some of the summer’s biggest festivals including Rock am Ring, Download Festival, Graspop and more.   U.S. tour dates will be announced soon.



Earlier this week, “Suffer It All,” one of Isolate and Medicate’s heaviest tracks, was made available to fans as an instant download with the album pre-order via iTunes. (Stream available here.) Isolate and Medicate was recorded at Henson Studios in Los Angeles with producer Brendan O’Brien (Pearl Jam, Springsteen) at the helm. The band cut the entire album in just sixteen days and delivered the most poignant, passionate and powerful record of their illustrious career.
