James Hunter Takes ‘The Hard Way’ (June 10 / Hear Music) To The Road

Soul Man Plots Headlining Tour, Is Tapped By Willie Nelson For Opening Slots

Following a UK tour with Willie Nelson, James Hunter will kick off his 2008 US tour with headlining dates and shows with the red-headed stranger. The British soul man - renowned for his charisma and in-the-pocket grooves in concert - commands the stage and carries a full horn section with him on tour. He'll be crooning and shouting the songs from his new soulful slab ‘The Hard Way,' out June 10 on Hear Music (which will be available in all Starbucks retailers).

'The Hard Way' follows Hunter's 2006 US debut ‘People Gonna Talk,' which was nominated for a GRAMMY Award. Louisiana legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Allen Toussaint flew to the UK for ‘The Hard Way' sessions, guesting on three tracks. Producer Liam Watson (The White Stripes) helmed the sessions at famed analogue haven Toe Rag Studios.
