Multi-platinum Selling Artist, Vanessa Williams, Signs with Concord Records

Internationally-renowned recording artist and actress Vanessa Williams has signed an exclusive recording contract with independent record label Concord Records. GRAMMY award winning producer Keith Thomas will be producing Williams' Concord Records debut, which is slated to be released in September 2008.

Throughout her career, Vanessa Williams has continued to broaden her legacy and garner accolades, solidifying her reputation as a respected and multi-faceted entertainer. She has conquered the musical charts, Broadway, television and motion pictures. She has sold over four million albums worldwide, and her skills as an actress on stage, in film and on television have earned critical acclaim.

"Vanessa is an extraordinarily talented artist, and we're thrilled that she has chosen Concord for the next phase of her recording career," said John Burk, Executive Vice President of A&R at Concord Music Group.

Vanessa is currently starring on ABC's smash-hit series, "Ugly Betty." Her role as delectably fierce Wilhelmina Slater has taken her career to even newer heights and has further established her as a pop culture icon. Williams has received a total of 11 GRAMMY Award nominations, four NAACP Image Awards, and numerous New York Music Awards. She has been chosen as one of Glamour Magazine's "Women of the Year," People Magazine's "50 Most Beautiful People in the World," Entertainment Weekly's "Entertainer's of the Year" and Harper's Bazaar's "America's 10 Most Beautiful Women , " among many other honors and accolades.
