Raul Malo Signs to Fantasy Records

Famed singer's new record set for early 09 release

Raul Malo, whose rich baritone is one of America's most treasured resources, is bringing his sparkling talent to Concord Music Group's legendary Fantasy Records where he joins like minded visionaries, John Fogerty and Tift Merritt, among many others. Malo, perhaps best known as the Maverick's former lead singer, recorded the as yet untitled record in Nashville with Los Lobos' Steve Berlin as co-producer.

"I'm extremely excited to join the Fantasy Records family and be part of their amazing legacy," states Malo. "Working with Steve Berlin is a real pleasure. Having him put his touch on my music is an honor and hopefully a fun time for the listener".

This new album is the Grammy winner's first collection of self penned material since "Today" almost 7 years ago.

Malo will tour Europe this fall, and then begin a world-wide tour to support the new record next year.
