Tift Merritt's 'Another Country' Receives Critical Acclaim

Tour Dates Confirmed

Widely praised by national press, Tift Merritt‘s Another Country debuts at #1 on Billboard's Heatseekers chart. The follow-up to 2004's Grammy-nominated Tambourine, Another Country is Merritt's third full-length release and her first for Concord Music Group's Fantasy Records.

Emmylou Harris says, "I first heard Tift Merritt some years ago during a writer's night at a small club. She stood out like a diamond in a coal patch and everyone there knew she carried a promise of great things to come. She has more than fulfilled that promise, especially here on her lovely new album Another Country." Merritt recently performed on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno" (*see links below to view the performance and Merritt's "Broken" video) and will appear at the annual SXSW festival March 15 at 8:00 P.M. at The Parish Room in Austin. Following this appearance, Merritt will begin a nationwide tour. See reverse for details.
