New York, NY - Grammy-nominated trumpeter Christian Scott has been chosen to perform the National Anthem for NBA All-Star Saturday Night, part of the 2008 NBA All-Star festivities, on February 16 in New Orleans. Christian will be a part of an extraordinary lineup of musicians entirely from New Orleans including Harry Connick, Jr., Branford Marsalis, Trombone Shorty, Allen Toussaint, Marc Broussard and more! The All-Star Saturday Night festivities, which will air live before a nationwide audience on TNT at 8pm ET, include the slam dunk competition, the three point shoot out, the skills challenge and the shooting stars.

On August 28, 2007, Concord Jazz released Anthem, a powerful collection of 12 tracks teeming with jazz, fusion, rock, neo-soul and hip-hop. The tracks on the album give us a taste of Christian's hometown, New Orleans, and the havoc wreaked by Hurricane Katrina, however it also reflects the many changes Scott has gone through since releasing his debut album in 2006.

Anthem has received rave reviews from press including 3 stars from People Magazine. The LA Times praised Scott's music as, "a stunning portrait of a young talent on the rise", while All Music Guide raved, "Anthem approaches brilliance."

In April of 2008, fans will be able to see Christian on the big screen in the new Steven Soderbergh film, "Leatherheads" starring George Clooney and Renee Zellweger.
